    Mabel Davis Conservation Area
    The Mabel Davis Conservation Area is located in the middle of Newmarket yet acts as an important habitat for local plant and animal life. A 1.4 km (0.9 mi) walking trail that follows the Holland River runs through the 7.3 ha (18 acre) park.

    Rogers Reservoir Conservation Area
    This 68.3 ha (168.7 acre) conservation area is located just north of Newmarket and is a great place to see birds such as Blue Herons and American Coots. Fishing is a popular activity in the park, as is hiking along a portion of the Nokiidaa Trail System, which links the towns of Aurora, Newmarket and East Gwillimbury.

    Wesley Brooks Memorial Conservation Area
    Located in downtown Newmarket, the Wesley Brooks Memorial Conservation Area contains man-made Fairy Lake. The park is popular for recreational activities, picnics and community events such as concerts and festivals. Facilities at the park include groomed trails, a playground, a covered pavilion and washrooms.
